Grow to School
Pupils with SEND regularly spend time in small groups tending to our raised beds. These sessions help to reduce feelings of anxiety, improve fine and gross motor skills, improve social interaction and build self-esteem.
Sensory Activities
Pupils enjoy exploring their senses through a range of sensory activities.
SEMH Interventions
Regular SEMH interventions are delivered for pupils who need additional support in this area. Pupils learn self-regulation strategies, breathing techniques and teamwork and friendship skills. These sessions provide pupils with the opportunity to talk openly about their feelings.
Life Skills
Some of our pupils with SEND access weekly life skills lessons. In these sessions pupils learn to develop skills such as independence, team work and resilience.
In some of our recent life skills lessons, pupils have followed recipes, planned and paid for a bus journey, planned a visit to a local café where they ordered their own snack and local area walks identifying shops and amenities.
