Provision
At Swain House, we endeavour to plan and deliver lessons that support all pupils' needs and challenge them to make accelerated progress.
When a pupil has SEND or is making slower than expected progress, provision is adapted to help pupils make progress; this may be adapting tasks in lessons, providing additional resources or providing an intervention, among other strategies.
All staff are well-trained on evidenced-based interventions.
We have new provision this year aiming at supporting children across a wide range of areas. We now have life skills sessions, outdoor learning sessions, time in the sensory room, an UKS2 hub as well as many more exciting opportunities for our children with SEND.
SEND Newsletters
Every half term, a newsletter will be sent out to parents via the ParentsApp Connect. Each newsletter will also be saved on this website page for you to view. The aim of our half termly SEND newsletter is to provide parents with updates on what is happening in school and the local area. There will also be information about support available for pupils and their families.
