Our RP group had a fantastic morning at Roberts Park in Saltaire, where we brought A Walk in the Park by Anthony Browne to life.
As we strolled through the park, we spotted birds, ducks gliding gracefully across the water, lots of dogs and towering trees. We had so much fun reenacting scenes, especially when we played in the bandstand, imagining ourselves as part of the story.
Afterwards, we enjoyed a refreshing drink at the cafe, sharing our excitement. Before returning to school, we explored the play area and had lots of dun, especially on the swings - just like Charles and Smudge - until it was time to leave.

In our RP English lessons, we have been reading Over and Under the Snow by Kate Messner, exploring how different animals survive during winter. We have also been learning about prepositions and using them to create exciting sentences, adding adjectives to make our writing more interesting.
The fox, a favourite animal from the story, inspired us as we creatively brought our prepositions to life. Thank you, Fox, for helping us on our learning journey!

The RP children had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas at school! We started with a delicious Christmas dinner, followed by our annual festive excursion to the Alhambra Theatre to watch the Pinocchio pantomime. It was an absolute hit—we laughed so much at the funny moments! The show also reminded us of the importance of being honest because, as we learned, fibbing might just make our noses grow long!
